Marjorie Wharton is currently Senior Manager with the Cave Hill School of Business (CHSB) and manages the organization’s Strategic Business Services Unit. As such, she leads the organization’s consulting and training initiatives in planning, management and people development, in Barbados and throughout the region.
As a trainer and facilitator, she has extensive experience in Customer Service Management, Training of Trainers, Leadership Development, Strategic Planning, Presentation Skills and Quality Management. In particular she has worked with project improvement teams in accomplishing their objectives and conducted organizational development initiatives in private and public sector organizations in Barbados and throughout the region.
Her areas of interest revolve around the concept that we can always better our best. She applies this both to the individual and the organization. Believing that people and the organizations they work for can continuously improve and grow, Marjorie is committed to working with them to help them see their ever-present potential. She believes that they must be committed to self development and organizations must be able to assess themselves and their environment on an ongoing basis and make the improvements necessary to find and maintain a sustainable competitive advantage.
Marjorie holds a Bachelor of Science degree (Upper Second Honours) in Management Studies from the University of the West Indies. In addition, she is a Certified Administrator of the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), a certified on-line instructor and a trained Quality Management Facilitator. In addition she completed training at the graduate level in Marketing Management with Leicester University, United Kingdom.
